The Poverty Program is privately funded and run solely by volunteers with the purpose of educating the local public in Newburyport and surrounding areas about poverty issues and to encourage volunteering and charitable donations. We do not accept any money for charities nor do we make any recommendations as to which charities to support. We have provided a link to information on the Doyle Center as it is a clearinghouse to the local charities in Newburyport and provides direct service to local people in need.
